acer laptopThis Acer Aspire laptop combines three important elements: the latest 64bits dual-core power, stunning multimedia and effortless connectivity in a stylishly-compact entertainment system designed to provide unbeatable all-round value. With a 15.4″ WXGA CrystalBrite screen, large hard disc drives and the simplicity of Acer’s Empowering Technology, the Acer Aspire 5633 Notebook is a truly unique source of mobile entertainment.

An entry-level multimedia system, the Acer Aspire 5633 delivers powerful graphics performance for gaming and multimedia use. Boosted by Intel Core Duo processors and supported by a huge hard drive and memory, it is a strong performer. Enjoy instant communication with the optional high quality web camera and with Microsoft MCE you can have it all at your fingertips.

As for multimedia features, you’ll find application-shortcut keys and media-control buttons above and alongside the keyboard. Acer also includes a Windows Media Center-like multimedia suite called Arcade Deluxe. But despite what the company’s marketing materials suggest, the Aspire 5630 isn’t a multimedia workhorse. While higher-end systems in the Aspire line accommodate a discrete nVidia GeForce Go 7300 video card, the PC features Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics, which labor under the weight of all but the most basic gaming titles and graphics tasks. And since the laptop is a preconfigured model with no upgrade path, gamers and digital artists should certainly shop elsewhere.

Intel GMA 950 graphics deliver new levels of performance, so you can use your Notebook for new levels of family fun. This solution features support for the latest High Definition TVs and wide-screen displays, as well as hardware acceleration for Microsoft DirectX* 9. Chat with friends and family, learn more through rich digital libraries, play games with people around the world-and enjoy your computer to the fullest.

This laptop provides 120 GB hard disk that it is enough for saving many music and movies and photos. Acer Aspire 5633 has 15.4″ 200-nit gloomy CrystalBrite which makes colors intensive to increase the excitement in the eyes of the spectators. Also, with Acer GridVistaT you can have multi-window viewing up to 8 windows at once. Fortunately, this laptop has a DVD-Super Multi or DVD-Dual double-layer drive.

The Aspire 5630 offers a relatively solid configuration for an under-$1,000 notebook, with a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a roomy 120GB hard drive, and a double-layer DVD burner. Acer could face problems selling this unit, however. Budget-minded consumers are unlikely to pick the first PC they see at OfficeMax (one of the retailers that carry Acer systems), but will probably bargain-hunt on the Internet first. There, intrepid shoppers will find notebooks from Dell, Gateway, and Hewlett-Packard that offer the same features as the Acer Aspire 5633—along with the Microsoft Works productivity suite—for up to $100 less. Plus, unlike with this Aspire, you can have these mainstream notebooks built to order with lower- or higher-end components to suit your needs.

Acer Aspire 5633 Reviews:-

# computershopper Review:- The Aspire 5630 performed as we expected, scoring right down the middle in both our Futuremark PCMark05 and Windows Media Encoder tests. Battery life was mediocre, lasting 1 hour and 52 minutes in our DVD rundown test. That’s just enough to get you through many feature-length movies, but it still falls short of other midsize notebooks we’ve tested, such as the Gateway NX570X.

# Notebookreview Review:- Its great best laptop i’ve ever had coming from a Compaq V2000, may post some pics if you guys want. But I have a question its has the Nvidia Gefore Go 7300 now i noticed that the drivers were an old version. So i tried to update them, i downloaded like every driver on Nvidia’s site and every time its said that you have no compatible hardware. So I was wondering if you guys could point me to some drivers that are compatible. Now i dont knowif maybe its because the computer is running Media Center 2005 so… Oh by the way the current driver version is 8.4.8.5 and is dated 6/12/2006. so if you guys could help that be great.

# Amazon Review:- Having got a vista laptop from elsewhere a couple of weeks earlier and had so much hassle with it I ended up returning it before it drove me to a nervous breakdown. Chose this one because of the windows XP and so far it’s brilliant. Set up totally problem free and running like a dream. It is Vista capable, but I for one am in no rush to update until all the bugs in that software are sorted out. If you are looking for a second pc for the home this one is far more compatible with pre-vista pc’s, printers etc.
