The Compaq Presario F700 is a laptop with big bang for the amount of money you spend. The F700 comes with over 1 GIG of RAM , dual core Athlon 64 X2 proccesor running at about 3500 + GHZ , 100+ GB hard drive and a Nvidia Geforce 6 go with 256 MB of video ram ! From first starting the Compaq Presario F700 you can tell this laptop is stable and fast, even with Vista.

Vista itself has worked great with all my programs besides some music software like old versions of Cubase, but everything else has gone off without a hitch. Really the only thing I wish it came with was a 12 cell battery but for 500 $ you can’t get the world, but you get damn close.

Pros: Price to performance ratio, weight, screen, performance

Cons: No ExpressCard ability. I realize HP has to make cuts somewhere to allow for such a low price, but I really would like to have seen this added. Definitely not a deal breaker tho.
