Dell Inspiron 1720 Review
A powerful laptop does not have to be a boring laptop. Take Dell Inspiron 1720, a robust system that also happens to be available in seven colors besides black. The 1720 is a heavyish 17-inch notebook, but its multimedia design is outstanding.
The glossy WUXGA (1920×1200) screen on the Dell 1720 is absolutely beautiful. Dell’s DirectMedia button provides instant access to the full panoply of entertainment choices: DVD movies, music, photo slide shows, and videos. The stereo sound is good.

Dell Laptop Reviews:-
Reviews.cnet user opnion about Dell Inspiron 1720 Review:- I do not like this laptop very much. The mouse touch pad lags all the time and the mouse buttons are too small. not worth your money at all if you are a student. maybe if i was a business man and used large spreadsheets this would be perfect, but for a student like myself this just doesn’t fly. So my advice…if you are a student and really want this computer get the inspiron 1520 or 1521. the extra numerical keys on the side are just clutter because we don’t need to use them being students.
Review.zdnet about Dell Inspiron 1720 Review:- Dell has also borrowed a few handy design features from its other laptop lines and incorporated them into the Inspiron 1720 series. First, media controls along the front edge, similar to those found on the XPS line of laptops, let you easily control disc playback. From the Latitude line, the Inspiron 1720 has adopted a built-in Wi-Fi Catcher, which lets you detect wireless networks even when the laptop’s lid is closed or the computer is powered off.
Pcmag about Dell Inspiron 1720 Review:- The 1720 is no slouch in performance. With the design changes, you also get a component overhaul. The unit integrates Intel’s newest Centrino Duo (aka Santa Rosa) platform, so you get a first-tier processor, the 2.2-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500. The 2GB of RAM are sufficient enough to tame Windows Vista Home Premium. Part-time gamers will like the new 3D graphics chipset installed in the system.
Laptopmag about Dell Inspiron 1720 Review:- Lining the front bezel are handy multimedia keys and the speakers, which produced loud, room-filling sound when we played our digital music. Like most notebook speakers, there was a discernible lack of bass, so if you’re looking for stellar audio, the Toshiba Satellite P205-S6287 may be a better option. Featuring a strong 3DMark03 score of 8,847, the Dell Inspiron 1720 is a good match for all but the most hardcore gamers.
