HP Compaq Laptop Reviews:-
# CHP Compaq nc8230 Review taken from Notebookreview:- During a normal work regime the upper part of the laptop becomes slightly (especially under the palm rest areas) but acceptably warm. However, in the bottom part, beneath the touchpad, the notebook is just hot!
A fan is audible, no doubt, but it is easily masked by general office noise*. There is however something weird with processor clocking: after reset or restart, when in idle mode (or performing light tasks and/or playing mp3s), the processor works at 400MHz to jump at 800MHz only from time to time. However, after a few standby/hibernate cycles the clock leaps to permanent, full throttle 1.6GHz announcing it via the fan’s moaning.

Keyboard and cursor controls are critical: Keys should be of sufficient size, offer decent travel, and be logically organized, and the touch pad and the pointing stick (or both) should be responsive and precise. We look for a sensible layout of drives and ports. Extra points are awarded for especially sturdy construction and the use of materials that make a laptop stronger.
# HP Compaq nc8230 Review taken from Pcworld:- The nc8230 is among the few laptops that do justice to dual pointing devices. Its pointing stick, located in the center of the keyboard, is an easy-to-steer nub with a finger-friendly texture. The traditional touchpad handles well, too. Each comes with its own set of mouse buttons, including a full-size third button in the middle for scrolling documents or zooming in CAD and animation programs; this eliminates the need for an external three-button mouse or a function key combination that requires two hands. All six mouse buttons sink deep into the case when pressed, unlike the stiff buttons we’ve found on many other laptops. If you prefer buttons with plenty of feedback, you’ll love these.
# HP Compaq nc8230 Review taken from Faq.programmerworld :- This is a good choice for bussiness users. The keyboard is really comfortable to work on. The descriptive logos seems good for ports. The performance is generally very good in both 2D and 3D applications making it fine for business and office applications as well as a suitable gaming platform.
The battery is able to sustain itself for many working hours and you can even enjoy Lord of the Rings length movies on its big 15.4” widescreen monitor. To sum things up we’re dealing with one of the finer notebooks on the market that even comes with a three-year warranty period.
