Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review
The Lenovo ThinkPad T61 14.1″ widescreen notebook was recently released by
Lenovo as an update to the T60 series. The T61 uses the new Intel Centrino Duo platform and offers a number of design updates.A common trend these days in the laptop market is to design great-looking products that fall apart easily. Quite a few manufacturers can be held guilty on this front. Laptops tend to have some problem or the other, ranging from faulty hinges to fading screens and finishes that can get easily scratched. One manufacturer who takes care to avoid these issues is Lenovo. Having inherited the excellent Thinkpad range, the company has taken care to continue building laptops that are not only very good in performance, but offer extremely sturdy exteriors and protection.

Lenovo Laptop Reviews:-
# Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review is taken from Ultimatenotebooks:- Word is out that your favorite family of business laptops is going to be releasing the next in the T Series around May 15th. The T61 launch coincides with that of the Intel Santa Rosa chipset core-duo– So it’s not much of a stretch to say it will be included in the spec. I’m sure we’ll have more interesting details in the coming month, but, for the moment, here’s a nice little blurb about the screen: Screen res will be up across the board and Lenovo will be putting in the option of a WSXGA+ resolution 14″ widescreen where before you could only get 4:3. 4:3 will still be a choice (for all you old-school cats).
As for the case, expect the T61 to be wrapped in the T60 body.
# Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review is taken from Review.zdnet:- Internal roll cage protects LCD; 802.11n Wi-Fi for faster wireless throughput; very small A/C adaptor adds little to overall travel weight; Intel’s Active Management Technology provides remote support.
# Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review is taken from Tech2:- purchased about 2 months ago..2.2ghz, 2gb mem win vista ultimate..Nividia Quadro nvs 140m and this is absolutely the slowest computer I have had in 10 years!
purchased new hard drive…150gb 7200rpm, switched to win xp pro and although a significant improvement, still the slowest computer ever.
Additionally, it hangs occassionally on start and shutdown and when ever you reboot, it reverts to the lowest resolution.
I have spent the last two months attempting to correct all the issues?
I have an IBM R51 and Lenovo c100 that absolutely smoke this t61 when it comes to speed and performance.
Truly a HUGE dissappointment! Have always been a IBM thinkpad proponent (t40, 41, 42 over the years), but this is the last.
# Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review is taken from Notebookreview:- The keyboard remains the same between the T61 and T60 — meaning it’s once again excellent. The only difference is that now there’s more room on the keyboard side areas since the notebook body is wider, the speakers have been relocated to this extra real estate. The keyboard is spill proof and has two drain holes to make sure if you do happen to spill your morning Starbucks coffee, the liquid is carried away from sensitive components and out through the bottom of the notebook
# Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review is taken from Pcmag:- An Intel chipset launch is never complete without Lenovo offering a new ThinkPad to take advantage of it. The ThinkPad T61 Widescreen is the latest in Lenovo’s ThinkPad T-series of world-class laptops that have stood the test of time among corporate professionals. With the T61 Widescreen, you get the absolute best from Intel’s newest Centrino Duo platform. The system is loaded with Intel’s fastest Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, and discrete graphics from the available nVidia Quadro NVS 140M. When you factor in all the other intangibles, it’s obvious why the Editors’ Choice for business laptops couldn’t go to anyone else.
