Sony VAIO NR180E/S Reviews
The first inexpensive laptop from Sony targets consumers who need Core 2 Duo power on a budget. Available in three colors–wenge, granite, and silk–the VAIO NR maintains Sony’s traditionally thin profile, but the dumbed-down design makes it look cheap, compared to more expensive VAIOs. The NR 160 has a 160GB hard drive while the otherwise identical NR180 has a 200GB hard drive.Technical Details

Sony VAIO NR180E/S Reviews From alatest
Least expensive VAIO laptop yet; keeps Sony’s excellent laptop keyboard, plus extras such as an Express Card slot.
Looks and feels noticeably cheaper than more expensive VAIOs, loaded down with performance-killing bloatware.
Kudos to Sony for releasing the sub-$1,000 VAIO NR160. It’s a perfectly functional, budget 15-inch laptop–we just wish it didn’t stray so far from the excellent industrial design of the company’s more expensive systems.

What we like:
The Sony VAIO NR series offers a comfortable keyboard, a crisp, bright display, decent components, and an Express Card slot–all for under $1,000.
What we don’t like:
Sony’s laptops are still inundated with bloatware–enough to affect performance, especially boot time. Fairly standard extras such as Bluetooth and an S-Video out are missing.
