Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 Review
The Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 ($1,549 direct) is not your typical tablet PC. Convertible tablets usually have 12-inch screens and small, lightweight frames. Not so with the R15-S822. This convertible has a 14-inch screen and weighs 6.1 pounds. It’s meant to be someone’s primary notebook first, and a tablet second—and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Amazon.com about Toshiba Satellite R15-S822Laptop Review:- I wanted to buy a tablet pc for a long time but the only thing that was keeping me away from it was that the price was too high for something with very low computing power and in most cases no optical drive. For the ones with a good configuration and an optical drive the price was too high. I loved the functionality of the tablet pc so was not able to decide whether to buy a notebook or a tablet, but then this came along and I have to say it is the best for the price, I have given it 4 stars only because it is on the heavier side for a tablet pc, but then I guess you can’t have everything for this price. If you want something light and can do without a CD/DVD drive and a smaller screen then you should consider the TOSHIBA M200 or the FUJITSU T4000. Except the weight this is a great machine.
Reviews.cnet.com about Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 Laptop Review:- I saw this at a local Best Buy last week and thought the price was right. Little did I know how much was packed into this thing. Handwriting recognition is outstanding (I write messy and it picks up my handwriting), system is pretty darn fast (upgrade to at least 1 gb), and it does just about everything you could want in a tablet. This is my second tablet and it blows away the first one. Only complaint is that it’s a bit heavy for holding and writing, but you get used to it. Ultimately it’s perfect and is a fantastic value. And yes, it deserves a 10.
Tech.yahoo.com about Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 Laptop Review:- I love this computer! To me, laptops have 2 major flaws- they need a flat surface to rest on, and using your index finger on a touch pad for a mouse is difficult. This computer overcomes these problems. The swivel screen can be laid flat and you can carry the computer around like it was a book, or sit with it in your lap. Using a pen for a cursor is easier on the hand and much more precise in navigation. If only Toshiba produced a higher quality product - I have had screws come loose in the unit, the power cord died within 6 months and I had to buy another, and MS Office was a trial edition only and I had to buy the product key, another additional expense. Overall, I love the ease of use and I hope pen based computing continues its progress.
